The Quran Prohibits Stealing In Several Verses, With The Most Direct Verse Being Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 188, Forbids Stealing And Consuming Wealth Through Other Unlawful Means, Stating, “Do Not Consume One Another’s Wealth Unjustly Or Send It [In Bribery] To The Rulers In Order That [They Might Aid] You [To] Consume A Portion Of The Wealth Of The People In Sin, While You Know [It Is Unlawful]”. While This Verse Is The Most Direct, The Prohibition Is Understood To Cover All Forms Of Unjust Gain, Including Theft, Bribery, Gambling, And Interest. Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 2:188 States, “And Do Not Consume One Another’s Wealth Unjustly Or Send It [In Bribery] To The Rulers In Order That [They Might Aid] You [To] Consume A Portion Of The Wealth Of The People In Sin, While You Know [It Is Unlawful]”. The Verse Prohibits Unlawful Acquisition Of Wealth Through Various Means, Such As Theft, Fraud, Bribery, And Other Unjust Actions, While Also Warning Against Using Bribery To Gain An Unfair Judicial Advantage
