1.8.3.2 – Lawful Rebellion

The word “lawful” is defined as “being within the law; allowed by law,” and “rebellion” is defined as “refusal to accept some authority, code, or convention; an act or show of defiance toward an authority or established government.”

Therefore, lawful rebellion refers to a refusal to conform to an unjust authority, while still acting in accordance with the law.

Under Article 61 of the Magna Carta (1215), we have the right to enter into lawful rebellion if we believe we are being governed unjustly.
